The Baltimore Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the Southwest District of the city.

On June 20, around 5:19 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the 300 block of North Gilmor Street.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was promptly taken to a local hospital, where his injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.

During the investigation, authorities managed to detain a person of interest for questioning regarding the shooting.
