MDOT MTA Introduces 'Ride and Seek' Scavenger Hunt for Baltimore Explorers

BALTIMORE — A new initiative by the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) aims to provide a unique way for visitors to discover Baltimore. The event, named 'Ride and Seek,' is set to take place from July 10 to July 12 and will feature a multi-day scavenger hunt across the city.

Participants will be invited to follow clues along local bus, light rail, and metro subway routes, unveiling hidden gems throughout Baltimore. To enhance the experience, those who register in advance will receive a complimentary CharmFlex three-day pass, which allows for unlimited rides during the scavenger hunt.

Described as a family-friendly activity, 'Ride and Seek' encourages participants to explore neighborhoods and transit routes they may not have previously visited. Utilizing the Eventzee app, players will be able to scan QR codes located at designated transit stops near notable landmarks and events to accumulate points and compete on a leaderboard.

Maryland Transit Administrator Holly Arnold emphasized the importance of transit in connecting people to various experiences, culture, and opportunities. She noted that this scavenger hunt is an engaging way for riders to experience the connectivity and accessibility of the region through transit.
