BALTIMORE, MD — A serious accident involving an MTA bus and a work van occurred on Wednesday afternoon, leading to 12 individuals being transported to local hospitals.
The incident took place around 1 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Baltimore Street, prompting a swift response from the Baltimore City Fire Department (BCFD).
Emergency medical services arrived on the scene to find multiple injured parties. Given the number of casualties, BCFD requested additional support, deploying a total of seven medic units to assist.
In total, 12 people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Additionally, two individuals involved in the crash declined hospital transport after receiving assistance at the scene.
