MTA Introduces New Route Options for Red Line Project

BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has announced a set of proposed alternative routes for the long-awaited Red Line transit project.

According to MTA administrator Holly Arnold, the preliminary alternative maps and additional information are designed to equip stakeholders for the upcoming open houses scheduled for November. These sessions will provide an opportunity for the community to engage with the project and share their feedback.

Initially canceled, the Red Line project was revived by Governor Wes Moore in June, with the intent of establishing an east-west transit corridor across Baltimore. This initiative aims to enhance job accessibility for residents within the city and promote economic development.

For those interested, the proposed alternative routes can be viewed on the official Red Line project website.
