An off-duty police officer from Baltimore was shot on Saturday evening in Clifton Park, resulting in a minor injury.
Authorities received reports of gunfire on Sinclair Lane at approximately 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the injured officer outside with what appeared to be a graze wound on the arm.
The officer was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and officials confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening. It has been reported that the officer did not discharge their weapon during the incident and will not face administrative leave.
The Baltimore Police Department's homicide unit is currently investigating the shooting. Detectives are working to identify a suspect, and the details surrounding the number of shots fired and the circumstances of the incident are still being examined.
