BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying six individuals involved in an attempted robbery that left a 74-year-old man injured.
The incident occurred early on July 7 at approximately 3:46 a.m. in the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue, situated in the Liberty Square area of north Baltimore.
According to police reports, the elderly man was assaulted outside a 7-Eleven store. Surveillance footage released by authorities shows one of the suspects wielding a gray assault-style rifle, while another was seen holding a sword. The video also captures the suspects throwing objects at the victim during the attack.
Authorities have described the suspects as younger males and are urging anyone with information regarding their identities or the incident to contact the citywide robbery detectives at 410-366-6311.
