BALTIMORE COUNTY — Authorities in Baltimore County are looking into an incident involving two juveniles who were related and came into possession of a firearm, leading to one of them sustaining injuries.
The police were alerted to the situation on June 12, when the injured juvenile was admitted to a local hospital.
According to reports, one of the juveniles stated that he had discovered the gun several days prior to the incident. While handling the weapon, it accidentally discharged, resulting in an injury to his relative.
Detectives identified that the injury took place on June 11 at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Brompton Road. It was only the following day that the adults in the home were made aware of the non-life-threatening injury sustained by the juvenile.
