BALTIMORE — Authorities reported that police responded to MedStar Union Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning following the discovery of a potentially explosive device.
The incident began at approximately 6:18 a.m. when a 36-year-old man arrived at the hospital on Calvert Street for treatment of hand injuries. While medical personnel were tending to the patient, they found the suspicious device among his belongings.
In response to the situation, law enforcement was summoned to the hospital, where they successfully rendered the device safe. As of now, police have not indicated whether any charges will be filed against the individual involved.
