BALTIMORE — Authorities are looking for assistance from the public in identifying a group of six suspects involved in an attempted robbery of an elderly man outside a 7-Eleven store last week.
The incident occurred on July 7 at approximately 3:46 a.m. in the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue, situated in the Liberty Square neighborhood of north Baltimore.
According to police reports, the victim, a 74-year-old man, was assaulted during the attempted robbery. Surveillance footage released by the police shows one suspect brandishing a gray assault-style rifle, while another suspect is seen wielding a sword. The suspects were also observed throwing items at the victim during the attack.
