BALTIMORE — The Greater Model Aquatic Center in Poppleton has reopened its doors, welcoming residents for the first time since 2019. The official reopening ceremony took place on Wednesday, attended by Mayor Brandon Scott and other city officials who participated in a ribbon-cutting event.
Sonia Eaddy, president of the local community association, expressed her pride in the project and highlighted the importance of community collaboration in bringing the aquatic center back to life.
The facility is one of 17 outdoor pools available to Baltimore residents, providing a vital recreational resource as the city gears up for summer.
