BALTIMORE — A large sinkhole has emerged in East Baltimore, prompting immediate repair efforts from local crews.
The Baltimore Department of Transportation, alongside the Department of Public Works (DPW), is currently working on a 12-inch water main break located at the intersection of N. Chester Street and Ashland Avenue.
Authorities are advising the public to steer clear of the area to ensure safety and to anticipate traffic disruptions as the repair work progresses.
Crews have successfully halted the water flow and are in the process of evaluating the site conditions to determine the necessary steps for repairs.
