MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — The search efforts are still underway for a Towson University student who was reported missing while swimming in the Potomac River on Sunday evening.

Twenty-year-old Nazir Bell was last seen in the vicinity of Bill Goat Trail A and Sandy Landing. According to officials from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, Bell is currently presumed to have drowned.

Multiple agencies are collaborating in the recovery operations, employing sonar technology and thermal imaging to aid in the search.
