ODENTON, Md. — Authorities have confirmed that a second individual has died following a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Odenton on Monday afternoon.
Thomas Charles Knuckey, 85, passed away on Wednesday after being hospitalized due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.
The incident took place on June 15 at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Piney Orchard Parkway near Ransom Drive, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a Lexus RX350 SUV was traveling southbound when the driver lost control, veering into the northbound lane after failing to navigate a curve. This led to a head-on collision with a Hyundai Tucson.
Amelia Kentucky, an 85-year-old passenger in the Hyundai, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Lexus, a 62-year-old woman, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and is being handled by the Crash Reconstruction Team.
