The Baltimore Police Department is currently investigating a homicide following a shooting that occurred in the Northern District.
On June 23, shortly before 11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of York Road in response to reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers found two victims: a 38-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported them to local hospitals for treatment.
Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival at the hospital. The man, however, is expected to recover from his injuries.
Authorities have launched a homicide investigation as they work to gather more information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
