The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in the Southern District.

At around 3:15 a.m. on July 1, officers responded to the scene in the 3800 block of Pascal Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel quickly transported him to a nearby hospital.

The victim is currently reported to be in critical but stable condition as he receives medical care.
