An off-duty police officer from Baltimore was injured during a shooting that took place on Saturday evening in Clifton Park.

Authorities received reports of the shooting around 8:30 p.m. on Sinclair Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered the officer outside with what appeared to be a graze wound on the arm.

The officer was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where it was confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening. Officials clarified that the officer did not discharge their firearm during the incident and will not face any administrative leave.

The Baltimore Police Department's homicide unit has taken charge of the investigation. Detectives are currently working to identify a suspect and are examining the details surrounding the shooting, including the number of shots fired.
