Silver Spring Man Arrested for Kidnapping Near BWI Airport Faces Additional Charges

A 27-year-old man from Silver Spring, Maryland, has been arrested and charged with kidnapping in connection with incidents near Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and in Waldorf.

According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan Neal Gordon allegedly arranged a meeting with a woman on June 28 in Waldorf. Once she entered his vehicle, he purportedly impersonated a police officer, handcuffed her, and subsequently sexually assaulted her. The victim managed to escape after several hours and contacted law enforcement.

The following morning, Gordon was apprehended in Anne Arundel County after a Maryland Transportation Authority police officer observed him making an illegal U-turn near the intersection of West Nursery and Elm roads. During the traffic stop, a woman exited Gordon’s vehicle and reported that he had kidnapped and restrained her.

Following his arrest, detectives executed a search warrant on Gordon’s car, uncovering evidence linking him to the earlier assault in Waldorf.

Gordon is currently facing multiple charges, including kidnapping and false imprisonment, and is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center. Authorities are investigating to determine if there are additional victims of Gordon's alleged actions.

Anyone who may have encountered Gordon is urged to contact the police at 301-609-6471.
