BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — The skeletal remains discovered in a tributary of Back River have been identified as those of 46-year-old Kimberly Gordon, a woman from New Jersey who was reported missing in June.

Authorities were alerted to the potential discovery of human remains around 11:25 a.m. on July 17, when officers responded to a report near the interchange of Route 702 and Interstate 695.

Upon arrival, officers located the skeletal remains in the waterway. Following the recovery, the remains were sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for examination.

The investigation into the cause and manner of Gordon's death is ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-887-4636.
