At 650 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Landover, or over Fedex Field, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bowie, College Park, Crofton, Greenbelt, Largo, Bladensburg, Fedex
Field, Odenton, Laurel, Landover, East Riverdale, Kettering, New
Carrollton, Mitchellville, Lake Arbor, Riverdale Park, Cheverly, Seat
Pleasant, Woodmore, and Millersville.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 in Maryland between mile markers 14 and 23.
Interstate 97 in Maryland between mile markers 3 and 4.

What to do

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central Maryland.
