Baltimore County Police have identified a 33-year-old man as a suspect in the shooting death of a Towson University student earlier this month.
Authorities are seeking Reginald T. Gray Jr. in relation to the fatal incident involving 22-year-old Nasir Majied. The police have issued a warning that Gray should be considered armed and dangerous.
The shooting occurred on June 5 when Majied was driving north on York Road near Towson Circle. According to police reports, another vehicle pulled alongside Majied's car, and the occupants fired multiple shots at him. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
While the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, police spokesperson Joy Lepola-Stewart indicated that road rage has not been ruled out as a possible factor.
Gray is described as standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds. He is noted for having a distinctive tattoo on the front of his neck.
At the time of the incident, Gray was last seen driving a 2007 Nissan Altima, which has tinted windows and bears a Virginia license plate with the number SXM-4392.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Gray's whereabouts or the shooting to contact 911 or call 410-887-3700. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Metro Crime Stoppers.
