Teen Arrested for Spitting at Officer in Fells Point Incident

BALTIMORE — A 17-year-old girl was arrested early Sunday morning after an altercation with police in the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, officers responded to a report of a common assault in the 400 block of South Broadway at approximately 4:28 a.m.

Upon arrival, police encountered a small group of individuals preparing to leave the area. During this interaction, the juvenile reportedly spat at one of the officers when asked to vacate the premises.

The girl was subsequently arrested and transported to juvenile booking for processing.

This incident follows a separate occurrence on Saturday night, where police successfully dispersed a large crowd in the same neighborhood.
