A 16-year-old boy is currently in critical condition after being shot in Northeast Baltimore on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:17 PM in the 5900 block of Bowleys Lane. Responding officers confirmed that the teenager had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to reach out to the Northeast District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2444.
