A three-alarm fire broke out in west Baltimore on Tuesday morning, causing damage to several vacant buildings. The Baltimore City Fire Department reported that crews were dispatched to the 2700 block of Reisterstown Road shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames emanating from one of the unoccupied structures. The situation escalated quickly, leading to a second alarm being called as the fire spread to two additional vacant buildings.

By approximately 9 a.m., a third alarm was activated as firefighters battled the blaze under challenging conditions, including strong winds. Fire officials confirmed that the fire has since been contained, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Fire department officials commended the efforts of the responding crews for their effective handling of the situation despite the adverse conditions.
