Prince George's County police are conducting an investigation into a tragic three-vehicle collision that occurred late Tuesday night in Adelphi.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road at approximately 11:26 p.m. in response to reports of the accident.
Initial findings indicate that a motorcycle and another vehicle were traveling northbound on New Hampshire Avenue when a third vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Metzerott Road. This maneuver led to a collision involving all three vehicles.
As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, the driver of one of the vehicles, and a female passenger in that vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the third vehicle, a driver and a passenger, were taken to a nearby hospital, where they are being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
