On Wednesday afternoon, a collision between an MTA bus and a work van resulted in injuries to twelve people in Baltimore. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Baltimore Street, according to officials from the county fire department.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, with seven medical units deployed to assist those affected. A total of twelve individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Additionally, one medical unit remained at the location to assist two individuals who declined further medical care.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

This incident follows a series of similar accidents involving MTA buses in the area. In March, eight people were hospitalized when an MTA bus collided with two cars in the Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhood. A Shock Trauma team was required to extract a vehicle that had become pinned under the bus.

Earlier incidents include a September 2025 crash involving a Charm City Circulator bus that struck multiple parked cars, and a Johns Hopkins Shuttle Bus accident that resulted in nine injuries when it crashed into a building in Charles Village.
