Two Men Arrested for June Armed Robbery Spree in Baltimore County

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Law enforcement officials have taken two men into custody in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred in Baltimore County during June.

The suspects, identified as 28-year-old Timothy Evans Jr. and 29-year-old Diamante Gilliam, are accused of targeting business owners and employees over several days.

The investigation commenced on June 14, when police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Hip Hop Fish & Chicken located on Baltimore National Pike. According to charging documents, a victim reported being approached by two men wearing black clothing and ski masks after he entered his vehicle. The suspects allegedly held him at gunpoint, demanding his wallet and other belongings.

During the ordeal, the victim heard a loud noise and later discovered that one of his tires had been shot out. Police confirmed the tire was flat and had a puncture hole consistent with a gunshot.

The following day, another victim in Owings Mills reported a similar encounter. After returning home from work, he was approached from behind by two armed individuals who demanded his keys and valuables. One of the suspects allegedly entered the victim's vehicle and stole an iPhone 14 Plus, while the other took a wallet from the car's center console.

Before fleeing, the suspects reportedly asked the victim if anyone was inside the house and if there was more money available.

Additional armed robbery incidents were reported on June 16, 21, and 23, prompting detectives to investigate further. They retrieved serial numbers from two stolen iPhones, which led them to Gilliam, who had pawned the devices on June 16.

Using geolocation and historical cellphone data, investigators confirmed that both Gilliam and Evans were present at the locations of each robbery.

Authorities estimate the total losses from the robberies to be approximately $16,077. Both suspects are currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
