ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Emergency responders were called to Sandy Point State Park on Tuesday morning after a woman was rescued from the water near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Boaters in the area managed to pull the woman from the water and transported her to the park, where paramedics were waiting to provide assistance.
A helicopter was dispatched to the scene and landed nearby to airlift the woman to a hospital, where she was reported to have sustained serious injuries.
