Duties
- Candidates for this position must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in work involving heavy vehicle diagnosis, maintenance work, and towing of heavy vehicles, along with the operation and maintenance of tow trucks, heavy trucks, and Transit Buses.
- Employees in this position must be proficient in the use of equipment and programs to diagnose and repair diesel engines such as Cummins, Detroit, and Allison transmissions.
- Employees in this position are also expected to be proficient in the diagnosis and repair of Vansco systems and other systems related to MTA equipment and vehicles.
- Employees in this position will be evaluated on their Work Performance (Including Maintenance data entry), Absenteeism, Initiative, Time Management, and other items related to this position.
Qualifications
- Applicant must possess a current valid Class “A” Learner's Permit with P Endorsement, and a Valid DOT Medical Certification at the time of hire /transfer.
- Applicant must possess proof of a Wreckmaster or OEM tow truck training, or similar training.
- Applicant will be asked to submit a copy of the required certificate upon evaluation.
