Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, a dynamic Preschool–12th grade Jewish day school, seeks a highly organized, professional, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Head of School. The Administrative Assistant will serve as the central point of contact for the Head of School’s office, managing a busy calendar, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the Head of School’s calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and eventsCoordinating communication with faculty, parents, students, board members, and community partnersPreparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentationsOrganizing meeting materials and maintaining records and filesGreeting visitors with warmth and professionalismHandling confidential information with discretionSupporting school events and projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; prior administrative experience required (experience in a school or nonprofit setting a plus)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and calendar management toolsAbility to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environmentWarm, professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholdersFamiliarity with Jewish customs and Holidays
