Associate Director of Transition

Job Description Summary

The Associate Director of Student Transition will direct all transition efforts in the Office of Student Orientation and Transition. The Associate Director will oversee the transition efforts for first year students, transfer students, Terp families and supporters, and other populations as needed. The Associate Director will also manage and design the curriculum for all transition courses including UNIV100, UNIV362 and leadership development courses for our Teaching Assistant program including EDCP498T and EDUC388U.

Preferences: A Master’s degree and at least five years of full-time program management experience.  Strong background and expertise in working closely with university students. Solid experience and skillset in orientation, transition, & retention work, project management,  and curriculum and program development. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong  campus partner relationships. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and  presentation). Wide-ranging interests and expertise across the disciplinary spectrum.  Ability to multitask and lift up to 10 pounds.
