Introduction:


The high-volume Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, which serves George Washington's Estate's visitors and the Washington Metropolitan area, is currently seeking to fill Banquet Server positions.



Compensation:


The salary for this position is $2.13/hour plus gratuity. Average hourly wages typically range from $17.00 - $25.00/hour, inclusive of tips.



Position Specific Responsibilities:


Coordination and implementation of food service for banquets and private events
Responsible for guest/client relations


Minimum Qualifications:


2+ years of banquet server experience preferred
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and flexible
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
Must be able to work weekends and evenings


Work Environment:


This role operates in a fast-paced dining environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members. Noise levels and activity levels may vary throughout the day.



Physical Requirements (Essential Functions):


Ability to move continuously throughout the dining area
Ability to carry food and beverage items
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
Ability to move items weighing up to 25 pounds
