Now Hiring: Bartender — Motte (Highlandtown, Baltimore)


Motte, a Korean American restaurant & cocktail bar in Highlandtown, is looking for a bartender to join our team. We're a casual-yet-elevated spot with a full liquor license and a fun, fast-paced bar program.


Who we're looking for: We want someone with a genuinely kind, positive personality — polite and warm with guests, easy to work alongside, and a real team player. Attitude and work ethic matter most to us: experience is a plus, but if you bring a great attitude and a strong work ethic, we're happy to train you. Reliability is key — we're looking for someone who shows up, takes ownership, and keeps a clean, organized station without being asked.


Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



Taking drink orders and making cocktails for both customers and the service bar
Bar prep — preparing garnishes, syrups, mixers, and getting the bar set up before service
Providing great, friendly customer service
Keeping the bar area clean, safe, and well organized
Monitoring customers' alcohol intake responsibly
Accurately inputting drink and food orders
Balancing the cash register and processing cash and credit card transactions correctly
Taking inventory and alerting the bar-back or management when supplies are low
Maintaining a well-stocked bar — liquor, beer, canned cocktails, wine, ice, napkins, straws, fruit trays, specialty cocktail and mocktail garnish trays, glassware, and other accessories
Pitching in to help with other tasks around the restaurant as needed — we all work as a team

Requirements:



Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic (a must!)
Team player who's reliable and takes initiative
Available to work evenings and weekends
Bartending experience preferred but not required — we'll train the right person

Pay: $16.00 - $38.00 per hour
