Cashier/Sales Associate
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional service in a retail environment.


Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide them with friendly and efficient service
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately
Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with precision
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product demonstrations
Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales
Ensure pricing is accurate and promotions are applied correctly
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Experience:

Previous experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
Proficiency in cash handling and basic retail math
Excellent communication etiquette to communicate with customers and team members
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent time management skills
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite
Ability to work in a teamoriented environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills, with the ability to assist shoppers in a friendly and professional manner.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, taking initiative to complete tasks.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
