Position: Computer Systems Engineer - Pega Resource. Job in Mount Vernon Lily Lifestyle Jobs OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Computer Systems Engineer – Pega Resource to join the National Airspace System (NAS) Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) to support the Federal Aviation Administration in the Washington DC Office. You will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions, covering all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. The role involves working as part of a technical support team that designs, builds, maintains, and supports the enterprise PEGA infrastructure, reviews, tests, and implements patches and upgrades, and develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for the supported environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain PEGA software solutions.Support PEGA applications, including packaging, security, rulesets, portals, reports, data migration, jobs, listeners, and other OOTB tools.Implement patches, upgrades, and continuous improvements to the PEGA environment.Troubleshoot issues using critical-thinking skills.Define logical data models and data objects for Constellation modular design.Integrate REST/SOAP services, Kafka, and real-time data exchanges.Customize web technologies including .NET, Java, and React for Pega Constellation.Required Experience, Skills, and EducationBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree in the same fields and 6+ years of relevant experience.Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening for positions of Public Trust.Previous business system solution development experience using Pegasystems (Pega) software.5+ years in Pega development, with at least 1–2 years in hands‑on development with Constellation.Deep expertise in Pega Infinity (v8.8, v23, or v24) and the Constellation SDK.5+ years supporting PEGA applications.Proven ability to use critical-thinking skills in troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of PEGA Application packaging, security, rulesets, portals, reports, data migration, developing Pega jobs and listeners, and hands‑on experience with Pega Constellation SDK.Proficiency in defining logical data models, data objects, and relationships that support Constellation’s modular design.Skilled in REST/SOAP services, Kafka, and data pages for real-time data exchange.Knowledge of web technologies (languages, frameworks, techniques, industry trends) that includes .NET, Java, or React for Pega Constellation customization.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.Preferred Experience , Skills, and EducationExperience with the federal government work environment.Prior knowledge of FAA’s tools and systems.Pega CSSA, CLSA certification.Pega Constellation certification or specialized badges.Pay Range$ – $Pay range is a general guideline only and is not a guarantee of compensation.
