Duties



Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and sanders to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and protective coatings.
Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine surface areas and specific painting requirements for each project.
Perform residential and commercial painting tasks on interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry, and drywall restoration.
Execute specialized finishes such as industrial painting or decorative coatings using knowledge of color theory and surface chemistry.
Install fixtures or trim carpentry elements as needed during renovation or remodeling projects.
Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols.
Assist with construction estimating tasks by assessing materials needed for painting jobs and preparing accurate project estimates when required.
Support other construction activities like masonry work, concrete finishing, welding, or maintenance tasks as part of broader renovation efforts.

Experience



Proven experience in construction painting across residential, and commercial settings with a strong understanding of construction site protocols.
Skilled in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, sanding, and primer application.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately.
Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (airless), sanders, drills, and welding equipment.
Knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects in various environments.
Background in related trades like carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (stucco), or restoration projects is a plus.
Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations confidently.
Previous construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills.
