Daily Substitute Teacher, (NE) Immaculate Heart of Mary, Towson MD

Full-time

The Substitute Teacher would be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students within the school during the Teacher’s absence. The Substitute Teacher will follow the curriculum as provided by the administration or the absent Teacher, assign homework, and oversee attendance.


Essential Functions



Participate in the active supervision of students at all times
Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher
Follow the daily routine of the teacher and assume duties outside the classroom such as lunch and recess duties and dismissal duties as needed
Interact effectively and respond to communication in a timely and professional manner

Position Qualifications



Degree in Elementary Education preferred.
Current MSDE certification preferred.
Knowledge of child development and supervision.
Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.
