About The Role

The Central Clerkship Administrator provides support to departments at Sinai Hospital to implement and administer required clerkships in the George Washington MD program curriculum. This is a student facing position that will work collaboratively with the clerkship director and faculty in the supported department.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all processes are in accordance with accreditation requirements and school policies.Ensure all physicians teaching and evaluating students have faculty appointments.Be familiar with accreditation standards and school policies.Stay current with best practices and participate in academic societies and committee meetings.Maintain up-to-date clerkship materials (syllabus, educational schedule, website, etc. )Administer and monitor evaluation of all aspects of the clerkship program.Assist, solicit and collect evaluations of students by facultyAssist Director in compiling grades.Assist the clerkship director in monitoring and tracking progress and completion of clerkshipCompile relevant clerkship data and prepare reports for the program directorSupport medical students taking the clerkshipManage orientation of clerkship students including preparing orientation packetsOnboard students ensuring they meet requirements for each site (EMR, training requirements, etc. )Assign students to sites or patient care teams.Set-up and remind students to complete duty hours and clinical encounters in relevant databases.Handle student queries and requests.Manage aspects of the learning environment and learning activities to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.Schedule, secure and book rooms for simulation experiences and educational sessions and exams.Order, coordinate, and proctor shelf exams

Requirements

Education: Associate's degree preferredExperience: 1-3 years of experience
