Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrician Journeyman to join our team at NASA Goddard Space Flight Facility (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD!



What You'll Be Doing:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications to plan electrical installations.Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems to identify causes of malfunctions and implement corrective actions.Install and maintain lighting systems, panels, transformers, motors, control circuits, and related electrical components.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and other specialized tools.Coordinate electrical work with other trades and departments to support maintenance, renovations, and new construction projects.Document work performed and materials used.Follow and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, PPE use, and safe work practices.Provide guidance and direction to apprentices or helpers as neededPerform other related duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

High school diploma or GED (preferred).Journeyman Electrician License (preferred).Minimum of 3 years or experience as a Journeyman Electrician in industrial and commercial construction.Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and applicable local codes.Proven experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems and controls.Proficient with electrical testing instruments and hand/power tools.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and VFDs.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Salary Range: $15.68 - $71.30
