The primary responsibility will be to investigate and produce comprehensive reports regarding complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual assault, harassment, discrimination and retaliation by students, faculty or staff including interviewing parties/witnesses, collecting evidence, and drafting high quality investigation reports within established timelines.
With guidance from the Assistant Vice President of the Office, the incumbent is independently responsible for a complaint case load, collaborating with key university designees throughout the investigative process, conducting legally sufficient investigations, making findings under University policies, meeting established timelines and treating all constituents engaged in the complaint process with sensitivity and neutrality.
The Equity Investigator may also assist members of the campus community with addressing issues and resolving conflict through formal and informal conflict management and resolution processes.
