The forklift operator safely operates forklifts to move and manage inventory while maintaining accurate counts. Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including processing inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring efficient material flow.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting forklift drivers
Safe operation of forklift
Handling of inventory counts
Loading and unloading trucks
Scheduling of trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments
Printing of the pick list and BOL
Maintaining clean and organized warehouse
Monitoring of warehouse
Receiving material in system
Lock and unlock warehouse at beginning and end of shift
Required Qualifications
Ability to assist in directing the activities of employees within department,
Must be a team player with the ability to develop and maintain a team environment.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and; able to speak effectively to departmental employees.
Possess working knowledge of basic computer skills.
Ability to drive fork truck with certification.
Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, noise, dust particles and varying temperatures.
Use of PPE required (e.g. safety shoes, high-visibility vest, glasses, gloves).
