Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman Electrician - $48-$52/hr



Summary: The journeymen electrician is a skilled and licensed, responsible for evaluating, repairing and replacing a variety of electrical facility components, to ensure the equipment is fully operational and meets standards. This position will be involved in corrective and preventive maintenance and minor alteration work. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.





DUTIES:



Read blue prints or technical diagrams
Identify and troubleshoot electrical problems
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
Repair and replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
Follow State and Local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
Demonstrates initiative in assignments and maintains positive customer relations.
Responds to emergency calls.
Follows all safety practices and adhere to all safety related policies.
Maintains accurate and timely paperwork.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Must be available on the weekends if needed




REQUIREMENTS:



Maryland issued Journeyman Electrical License
5 years minimum experience
At least 2 years experience in a commercial building
Basic computer skills/email usage
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read & use blueprints
Ability to use meters/testing devices
Use & knowledge of electrical codes
CMMS
Controls troubleshooting
