Laboratory Technician - Flavor Company

Job Responsibilities:


· Compound flavors, produce extracts and blends


· Perform analytical testing


· Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment


· Use laboratory notebooks to compound formulas and create sample products for evaluation


· Prepare samples of raw materials, intermediates and finished products for customers


· Perform raw material testing


· Keep accurate production records


· Prepare, test and maintain product retains


· Follow good manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and good laboratories practices (GLPs)


· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures


· Create and maintain SDS and Specs


· Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


· High school diploma


· BS Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, etc.


· Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred


· Work in an environment with some exposure to odors and chemicals


· Efficient written and verbal communication skills


· Must be able to lift 50+ pounds


· Proactive, efficient, accurate and organized


· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills


· Team worker


· Excellent math skills


· Strong knowledge of PC software and data entry


· Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining multiple priorities


· Ability to work independently


· Color vision (ability to detect color) required due to need to daily compare color difference in products


· Must be able to work without limitations and restrictions


Pay: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour
