Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician!

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to play a vital role in our laboratory operations. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the accurate collection, processing, and analysis of specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to the laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing.Conduct test analyses, report findings, and maintain accurate records of all test results.Implement quality control policies and document all quality control activities and calibrations.Identify and resolve any factors that may affect test performance, reporting issues to the Lab Supervisor as needed.Manage laboratory stock by ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies efficiently.Master all tasks associated with the position using provided checklists.Follow safety protocols as defined by Patient First and OSHA to ensure a safe working environment.Deliver exceptional customer service by providing positive, warm, and friendly interactions with patients and colleagues.Foster a collaborative and professional atmosphere within the team.Take on additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors.Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required.Proficient keyboarding skills are necessary.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.Preference for one year of clerical and clinical experience.Completion of at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college, including courses in chemistry and biology, or an Associate degree in related science.Completion of clinical rotations in microbiology, urinalysis, chemistry, and hematology is preferred.Candidates with a military background in Medical Laboratory Procedures are encouraged to apply.Registered Medical Technologists (M.T.) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (M.L.T.) certification by a recognized agency is preferred.Registry-eligible candidates are also encouraged to apply.Salary: $32.00 - $36.50 per hour, based on experience.
