Description
Under minimal guidance from the direct supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible cradle to grave transportation work including shipment scheduling, dispatching, planning, tracking, and communication.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Answering phones and e-mails professionally and expedientlyAssess Sales rep or Account Manager needs and determine the reason for contactDuring order input, gather all relevant informationEffectively route packages based on customer specifications Track and monitor all shipments with process updates at each step including possible setbacks such as delays, cancellations, field damage, etc.Notify responsible parties of special services requestsIdentifying opportunities for process improvements to augment the level of quality of serviceWork with external and internal clients to arrange, transport, and deliver their consignmentsUtilize our vendors and partners to provide timely, professional, and cost-effective solutionsUtilize our TMS and/or WMS effectively and diligentlyPerform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required2+ years' experience in logistics and/or freight forwarding operations and equivalent education and experienceHave a familiarity with governmental compliance agencies such as the TSA and DOT.Customer service experienceIntermediate skills with Microsoft Office products (excel, word, outlook, ppt)
Physical Requirements
Must be able sit, walk and stand on a continuous basis, as well as be able to communicate effectively through written and verbal expression using either a PC/keyboard or a telephone. Must be able to effectively deal with moderate levels of stressThe noise level in the work environment is moderate to highMust be able to stand, kneel, bend, squat and stoop as neededThe physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Hours: Tuesday - Thursday 4:00pm - 12:00am EST. Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm EST, Saturday 7:00am - 3:00pm EST.
Hourly Rate: $23.87 - $28.08
