Duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include course work in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software.
*Selective Qualification: One (1) year of this experience must include supporting and maintaining IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) application solutions.
*This statement contains a selective qualification which is more focused in scope than the minimum qualifications for this classification. Selective Qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skill or ability).No substitutions are allowed for a Selective Qualification.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to create and manage reports in IBM Maximo BIRT reporting tool
- Ability to implement new modules, update, support and troubleshoot IBM Maximo Application Suite and OpenShift
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders

1. Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other information technology-related field to include course work in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology may be substituted for the required education.
2. An additional year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software may be substituted for the required education.
3. Experience operating multipurpose, multi-tasking computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output or maintaining a tape library to process data on multipurpose, multi-tasking computer systems; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining microcomputer hardware and software; or converting data from project specifications by writing program code using third generation or other generally accepted computer programming languages may be substituted for high school on a year-for-year basis.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Computer Systems Operations classifications or Computer Systems Operations specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
