DutiesEducation: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Education as described in the Police Training Commission regulation.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience as an MTA Police Officer.
Note: Current MTA Police Corporals will be given preference; however, Officers may apply that have a minimum of 3 years' experience as an MTA Police Officer. The above educational requirement is set by the Police Training Commission in accordance with Sections 3-208 and 3-209 of the Public Safety Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.Qualifications1. Employees in this classification are assigned duties, which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
2. Employees are required to possess or obtain police officer certification issued by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission in accordance with Public Safety Article, Sections 3-209 through 3-218 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
