Job Title: Network Engineer – Embedded DoIT Support
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer – Embedded DoIT Support professional to provide dedicated, on-site / embedded network and infrastructure support within a Department of IT (DoIT) environment. The role focuses on maintaining network stability, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring secure, high-availability connectivity across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day network administration and technical support within the DoIT environment
Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks
Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and security issues
Implement network upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance and data protection
Maintain documentation for network diagrams, configurations, and incident logs
Support end-user escalations related to network and connectivity issues
Monitor system performance and proactively recommend improvements
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
3–6 years of experience in network engineering or administration
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking equipment
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Preferred:
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+
Experience working in public sector or government IT environments
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management
