About This Role
We are a warm, play-based preschool community looking for a nurturing and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our team. With small class sizes, beautiful outdoor classrooms, and a close-knit, supportive community, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and values a collaborative environment.
This part-time position runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with flexible scheduling between 2 and 5 days per week. There are also opportunities to extend your day until 4:00 PM. The hourly rate is $16–$19, depending on experience and qualifications.
As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work closely with our lead teachers to support a joyful, engaging classroom where children feel safe, curious, and confident. Our program emphasizes hands-on learning, social-emotional development, and plenty of time outdoors.

Support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and routinesHelp create a positive, caring, and well-managed classroom environmentEngage with children through play, conversation, and guided activitiesAssist with transitions, snack/lunch, and outdoor timeMaintain a clean, organized, and safe classroomCommunicate warmly and professionally with staff and families
Requirements
A genuine love for working with young childrenReliability and a strong sense of teamworkWarmth, patience and a positive attitudePatience and empathy in working with young childrenCreativity and the ability to engage children in learning activitiesPrevious experience in preschool, child care, or early childhood setting, preferred but not required.
