Security Guard

Job description:


Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions.


We are seeking Security Guard(s) responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and company property within a manufacturing facility. This role supports access control, site security, and safety compliance in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:



Monitor and control facility access points, verifying employees, visitors, and contractors
Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior facility areas
Observe, report, and respond to security concerns, incidents, and unsafe conditions
Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and visitor records
Enforce company safety and security policies
Assist with emergency response procedures as needed
Provide professional assistance and direction to employees and visitors

Schedule Requirements:



Must be available to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts as assigned
Weekend availability is required
Schedule may include rotating shifts based on operational needs

Qualifications:



Prior security, manufacturing, or related experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Dependable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently
Ability to remain alert and active throughout the shift

Training:

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided for all new hires to ensure understanding of site procedures, safety protocols, and security responsibilities.


Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
