Security Guard (Towson)

First Duty Staffing and Security (FDSS), a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), is currently hiring experienced Security Guards for our client site in Towson. The ideal candidate will have a valid Maryland Guard Card and two or more years of experience. We are looking for individuals with a demonstrated history of professionalism and dependability as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Apply to join our team today!



Pay: $17.00 - $19.00



Shifts: Swing and nights, Monday – Friday




Day, swing, nights Saturday - Sunday



Some of what you’d be doing:





Conduct thorough facility entrance screening to ensure compliance with security protocols
Greet and direct building visitors and vendors, as applicable
Perform security watch to maintain a constant and alert presence
Observe and report any unlawful or inappropriate activity as per post orders
Manage emergency situations and report as appropriate
Maintain appropriate documentation of all security tours and any incident reports that may result
May work in varied weather conditions
Important Qualifications:



Two or more years’ Security experience with valid Maryland Security Guard Card
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions
Reliable transportation to and from work sites
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:



Prior experience with walkthrough and handheld metal detector
CPR/First Aid Certification
